I just moved back into my dorm room to find that TV service is no longer provided or included with our monthly rent. I was really bummed out, because most of what I watch comes on premium channels that you can only get if you have cable or satellite service. My roommates and I had a group meeting to discuss the topic. We agreed that we would all pool in and pay for whatever service we chose. I got an email advertising a provider's site-http://www.directstartv.org, so we already had one lead. It would be my job to figure out how this service would meet our needs, and discover which package we should choose.
What I really wanted to find out was which service would give us the most channels for the best price. I'm pretty good at researching things online, which is why I volunteered to take on this task. It only took a few minutes on the website to figure out that they were offering a really competitive price. I had cable a few years ago, and it was a lot more expensive than what they were offering. So as far as price was concerned, I was confident that we were going to get the best rate possible.
The next thing I wanted to look at was some of the benefits and perks we'd receive. When I presented my findings to my roommates, I really wanted them to get as excited as I currently was. I pulled up the channel lineup and was blown away by all of the sports channels that were included with the package I was considering. I knew that they would be impressed. I was also happy to learn that a DVR would be included with our system so that we would be able to record shows while we're in class and watch them later. I was sold, all I had to do was share my results with my roommates, and we'd be ready to order.Start Reading Much More
